"...when you have nothing to be ashamed of, when you know who you are and what you stand for, you stand in wisdom. Insight. Strength and Protection. You stand in peace." ~Oprah Winfrey
Yup, we heard him correctly. Some family and I were talking about how certain behaviors are getting exposed to world such as the "so poor, so black" statement in the video footage. All these years later, things haven't changed much.
Dag, I didn't get here in time. I wish I could here the sound byte.
Okay, it took a minute for it to download....LOL, I ain't surprised that a CNN reporter said that. But dayum...wasn't it blatant.
I missed it, dangit!!!! What did it say?????????
I guess it was just the computer I was trying to listen to it on. It's still there. I'm SURE that sentiment is shared by many, many others.
oh my goodness....we are so poor and so black...have mercy...I had the whole job listening to this....needless to say I work around all of "us'n"
That's a damn shame. It's bad enough that this tragedy is still going on...But for folks in the media to come on TV and expose their RACIST and FUCKED UP views of the world...man, it gets frustrating and irritating quick.
*gently placing my halo on my desk* "NO THE F**K HE DI'INT!"
Unfortunately racism is reality. It's unacceptable but at the same time, even if I'm offended I can't even say that I'm surprised. I guess now people are showing their true colors, and it's a damn shame it took a tragedy like this one to open some people's eyes, those who were too complacent thinking we already had arrived. But some still ain't learnt a damn thing though. When you have crooked ass pastors supporting Bush like T.D . Jakes, it's sad people, so sad!
